Tickle Me Elmo

This toy is actually a little creepy in my opinion. I am not sure yet what the obsession was so many years ago but I can tell you that Landon gets a big kick out of it. He gets overly excited and starts to imitate Elmo's movements. It is hilarious to watch. You can't help laughing along with him.

This is actually his overly excited face.

Elmo, even though you creep me out thank you for bringing so much joy to my son.

Cell Phones

I am not sure when this happened but for at least the past few weeks Landon has been obsessed with cell phones. It doesn't matter if it is a real one or his pretend ones. If he sees a phone he will pick it up say hello and start walking around talking in his little jibberish. Friday when he did it I am pretty sure he was talking to Adam since he wasn't home. Landon picked up his little play phone and said "Hello, Dada"? It sounded more like "Wellow Dada".

It is really hard to get a decent photo of him since he likes to walk and talk at the same time. I managed to grab a few that will let you get the idea. This is seriously one of the cutest things I have seen him do but I am sure there will be many more in the future.

Who needs a phone or clothes for that matter?

Sick Day

November 15, 2010

Landon has put us through the ringer lately with his illnesses. First he had an ear infection, then it was an allergic reaction to his medicine, and now he has pink eye (Happy Birthday Daddy!).

Adam stayed home the last time Landon was sick so it was my turn to work from home. Considering he wasn't feeling well he was in a very good mood and helped me get a lot of work done.

Here are a few photos from our sick day.

Last Saturday

For those of you who do not I am going to be an auntie again (YEA!!!). My sister is expanding her family again and will be having her daughter Samantha in January. Last Saturday we headed down to Lynchburg to celebrate.

It was so nice to see her and her family down there. It is only three hours away but we don't make head down there as often as we should. I was hoping to get some photos of the kids together but we were so busy having fun and chatting that I totally forgot to get my camera out. I will say that Landon had a lot of fun playing with all of the other kids at the party and his cousin Jennifer. He didn't even have a nap he was having so much fun.

I am hoping to make another trip before Christmas and will PROMISE to get photos of them together. In the meantime here is a picture of my little JP I stole from her mom's facebook.

Is she not the cutest Minnie Mouse you have ever seen?

Just one of the guys!

Landon wants to be one of the guys so bad. He loves his cousin Bobby and tonight he hung out with him and his friends while they played video games. Don't worry Bubs one of these days you will be able to play with the big boys, but no rush ok?

Stair Climber

I am not a big fan of having to go up and down the stairs. The stair climber at the gym is definitely my least favorite thing to do. Landon however makes it look like so much fun that I am starting to have a change of heart.

He climbed up the stairs at least a dozen times tonight. He is really becoming a pro at it. We haven't decided if that is a good thing or not. We have gates at our house but when we visit others he will be up the stairs before you know it. Tonight we also tried sliding down (on mommy's lap of course) and he LOVED it!

And if you haven't noticed we are still teething. I even kept a bib on him most of the night. It is virtually impossible to keep his shirts clean these days.

Happy Turkey Day!

We had a such a fun day today! Our little family has so much to be thankful for and it was so nice to share it with our family.

The day started out our day with the 1st Annual Walls Family Breakfast. This is a new tradition that I hope we continue in the years to come. Cooking the actual Thanksgiving feast is A LOT of work and I am not sure if I can handle all of the pressure but breakfast I can do. It was a lot of fun cooking with my little helper. He really loves being in the kitchen and "cooking" with mommy.

After breakfast and a little relaxing we headed over to Landon's Grandparents house for a Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Jessie and Joe. I contributed my Great Grandmother's Cranberry Relish. I had never made it before and I must say it turned out pretty good. Of course everything Joe and Jessie made was delicious. Thank you for all that you did today. It was wonderful!

It was a great day spending time with family. I am looking forward to a mother/son day tomorrow since daddy has to work. Hopefully I will have time to fill you in on the last three weeks. We have been really busy and I have a lot of stories to share.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Walking

Landon is officially a walker now. It didn't take him long to get the hang of it and now he is unstoppable. I have been trying to get some photos of him walking and it is definitely easier said than done.

Breakout!

My little man has broken out with another rash. This will his second breakout in about a month. The first time he broke out with tiny pink bumps and the doctor told us it was his body's reaction to a virus leaving his body. We were told it would dissipate in 3-5 days. This time his rash was a much brighter red and seemed to cover more of his body. Adam took him to the doctor and it turns out he is allergic to penicillin. At this time he is almost fully recovered thank goodness. As bad as the rash was we were very happy that the reaction wasn't more severe. So if anyone ever has to take Landon to the doctor or hospital PLEASE make sure you tell them he is allergic to penicillin and anything related to it.

I tried to get some pictures but the bumps are hard to see in the photos.

Love This!

I don't think I need to say much in this post. I love, love, love seeing my boys together! I will say I am sorry to Adam for cropping you out of the shot but the beauty of this photo is the way Landon is looking at you.

Halloween Eve - 2010

October 30, 2010:

Why not start collecting the goodies early? The more candy the better right? The Village Square shopping center was having a pre-halloween trick or treating extravaganza so Landon and I headed down to score some treats.

Note to Landon: You should be very proud of yourself. You did A LOT of walking today.

While we were down there we ran into the cutest little piggy I have ever seen!

Taylor and Landon

Halloween - 2010

I couldn't help myself. I had to take Landon trick or treating this year. We headed over to the Butler's house so we could all go together minus Bobby and Kiersten. That would be too embarrassing (for them not us). We only went to a few houses since we started close to Landon's bedtime but I think he had a lot of fun getting pulled around in the wagon. After he awhile he just laid back and enjoyed the ride.

The best treat of all was a flashing led light. Landon loves that toy! I think I know what I am going to put in his stocking this year.

Landon's First Haircut

We said goodbye to Landon's mullet tonight. We have compared Landon's hairstyle to the likes of Billy Ray Cyrus and Tom Brady. After the constant nagging of Adam to get it cut I finally caved in.

I am very proud of Landon. He didn't want to keep still but he didn't cry or scream. If definitely went a lot better than I expected.

Before - He's not really sure about this.

Before - Close-up

I tried to get one more photo before left. I guess I pushed my luck.

After - What a handsome boy.

Savannah likes it.
